Addiction Therapist Lead
Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Lead Addictions Therapist to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 Hour role.

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patient’s wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As an Addictions Lead Therapist, you will play a key part in service delivery and patient recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy individually and in structured group formats aligned with the ATP model
- Conduct clinical assessments, contribute to treatment planning, and provide ongoing therapeutic support for clients on the step-down day care program
- Collaborate with the wider team to facilitate appropriate continuing care and aftercare.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and risk assessments, identifying and escalating safeguarding or clinical risks as needed.
- Facilitating clinical reviews, handovers, and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic client care and support for the Addictions Therapy team.
- Working closely with the Therapy Service Manager and site Therapy Leads to collaborate in striving for excellence.

Essential requirements for this role include a recognized professional therapy qualification such as BABCP, BACP, UKCP, HCPC, or an equivalent certification, alongside a degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy, or a related field.
Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience working in addiction treatment or a recovery-based setting, with proven experience in delivering group therapy and managing group dynamics. They must demonstrate the ability to conduct thorough clinical assessments and manage risk effectively, as well as possess a strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches and co-occurring mental health conditions. An enhanced DBS check is also required.
