Adhoc Technician
Summary
Performs on-site electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for building systems and equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform cable pulling, cable laying, cable termination, and cable routing from Distribution Boards (DB) to equipment and electrical panels.
- Install and fabricate cable trays, trunking, conduits, cable ladders, and cable support systems.
- Install, replace, and connect electrical components such as switches, sockets, isolators, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, and control panels.
- Read and interpret single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out rectification works efficiently.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all installations comply with workplace safety regulations and electrical codes of practice.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, contractors, and clients to complete assigned tasks within project timelines.
- Maintain proper housekeeping at work sites and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Prepare daily work reports and complete job documentation as required.
- Perform ad hoc electrical works and any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or construction.
- Hands-on experience in cable pulling, cable termination, DB installation, trunking, conduit, and cable tray installation.
