Summary

Teach graduate-level strategic communication courses part-time at Columbia University, leveraging professional expertise in communication or marketing to support the instructional process.

SPS is seeking experienced communication professionals to serve as part-time Course Associates for graduate-level courses in the school's Master of Science in Strategic Communication program.

The Course Associate position is junior to that of a Lecturer and involves providing subject-matter expertise and supporting the instructional process for a course section. Being a Course Associate is an outstanding way to gain exposure to graduate-level teaching at Columbia University.

• Graduate degree in communication, marketing, or a related field

• Solid knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of strategic communication

• Must be eligible to work in the United States and reside within New York or a contiguous state (New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts or Vermont)

• Alumni of the SCOM program must have completed the program at least one year before applying

Preferred Skills/Experience

3+ years of professional experience in strategic communication

• Graduate-level teaching experience preferred

• Familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System

Compensation: $3,427.33 per assigned course.
