Adjunct Counsellor (Youth Counselling)

Summary

Provide individual, group, and crisis counselling to students, manage cases, and collaborate with stakeholders to support youth mental health and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family (when appropriate), and group counselling to students.
  • Support students with emotional, mental health, academic, behavioral, and social concerns.
  • Deliver both in-person and online counselling sessions.
  • Manage counselling cases from intake to closure, including follow-up support.
  • Respond to crisis and high-risk situations, including referrals where required.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and update documentation by the next working day.
  • Work closely with lecturers, parents, and other stake holders to support students.
  • Participate in case discussions, clinical supervision, and performance reviews.
  • Design and facilitate student well-being workshops(preferred).

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Counselling, Psychology, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registered membership with a recognised professional counselling body
  • Relevant counselling experience
  • Experience working with youths or young adults is preferred.
  • Experience in case management and crisis intervention.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Able to conduct both face-to-face and online counselling.
