Adjunct Faculty - Essentials of Finance

Midland University, a private, faith-based, liberal-arts college in Fremont, Nebraska, is seeking
exceptional faculty members to teach Essentials of Finance in our undergraduate business
program. The class will run during the Spring session 2027: January 11-May 7 and is
currently scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8-8:50 am.

Professionals with extensive practical experience and an interest in engaging students are
encouraged to apply, regardless of previous classroom experience.

FIN200 Description:
This course will provide the non-financial and nonprofit manager essential financial
terminology, theoretical concepts, and applications. Using this knowledge, the learner will
be able to analyze and interpret commonly used financial information to help make
management decisions and effectively interact with financial managers in their
organizations. This course emphasizes the recognition and application of financial
information instead of its preparation. No prior knowledge of accounting or finance is
necessary. Learners who may work for service organizations, manufacturing companies,
health care agencies, and not-for-profit organizations will benefit from this course.
