Position Summary:
The School of Applied Engineering and Technology has an ongoing need for Adjuncts, each teaching up to two undergraduate courses in either Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET), Construction Engineering Technology (CET), Concrete Industry Management (CIM), Construction Management Technology (CMT), Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET), Industrial Engineering Technology (IET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), Software and Data Engineering Technology and Surveying Engineering Technology (SET) for the upcoming semester(s).
Essential Functions:
The successful candidate will teach one or two courses for the Fall, Spring or Summer semesters, as assigned by the appropriate Program Coordinator. Both day and/or evening sections are available.
Pre-Requisite Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a MS in Construction/Civil, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Medical Informatics, Manufacturing, or Surveying Engineering, or in a closely related field.
Preferred qualifications include:
- PhD and prior teaching experience,
- Full-time industrial experience in a job related to CET, CIM, CMT, ECET, IET, MET, or SET.
Compensation:
$2668 per contact hour
At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Period Activity Grade
NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items.
