Adjunct Instructor
Summary
Teach undergraduate mathematics or statistics courses at the University of South Florida, primarily for nursing and related programs, with a preference for candidates holding a doctoral degree.

We are also seeking adjunct instructors for STA2023, for Nursing majors for Fall 2026.
Responsibilities include teaching for the upcoming Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027 semesters.
To be considered, candidates must have a Master's degree in Mathematics. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an education institution outside the U.S. must submit a foreign credential evaluation of their transcripts.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics or related field with at least 18 credit hours in Mathematics.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

• SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
• A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
• (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Mathematics from an accredited institution. Preference given to candidates with Teaching Experience in Mathematics and/or Statistics.
