Adjunct Operations Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
- Statutory Fire Safety: Assume overall responsibility as the appointed Senior Fire Safety Manager for the Eunoia Junior College building.
- Regulatory Compliance: Fulfill all mandatory safety duties under Regulation 7 of the Fire Safety (FSM) Regulations, including conducting daily checks to mitigate hazards.
- Emergency Preparedness: Document all mandatory fire safety layouts and SCDF requirements within the school's MOE Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
- Staff Up-skilling: Train, mentor, and brief the school's permanent Operations Manager on statutory fire safety protocols.
- Facilities Maintenance: Supervise on-site Term Contractors, vendors, and Managing Agents conducting infrastructure improvements or maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and guide a dedicated team of Operations Support Officers (OSOs) to ensure smooth general operations.
- Logistics & Events: Coordinate logistics for day-to-day school activities, student discipline administration, and emergency drills with school leaders.
- Budget Management: Work closely with the Vice-Principal (Administration) to assess infrastructure project proposals and track expenditure boundaries.
Working Hours
- Mondays to Thursdays: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break).
- Fridays: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break).
- Note: Service is strictly not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Job Requirements
- Mandatory Certification: Must possess a currently valid Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM) Certificate issued by SCDF.
- Education: Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent, preferably in Estate Management, Building Facilities Management, or a related engineering track.
- Technical Knowledge: Prior working experience or deep functional knowledge in estate management, emergency logistics planning, and vendor tracking.
- Software Skills: Capable in basic IT tools including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for data documentation and entry.
- Interpersonal Traits: Clear verbal and written English skills with a motivated, well-organized, and collaborative leadership approach.
- Commitment: Fully able to commit to the entire 1-year contract length.
