Admin cum Accounts Assistant
The Admin cum Accounts Assistant is primarily responsible for maintaining the financial records and providing administration support for the smooth flow of ministries at MCI. She/he works closely with the Office Administrator (“OA”) and reports directly to her. Working on some weekends will be necessary due to the operational hours of the church.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Administration
- Support and be an assistant to pastors.
- Handle walk-in / telephone / email / mail enquiries.
- Maintain the Schedule of Booking of rooms.
- Prepare weekly bulletins.
- Prepare materials for Church programs and events.
- Purchase office stationery and refreshments for meetings and events.
- To accept any additional duties as requested by the Pastor’s Office or Office Administrator.
- Schedule and monitor cleaning of Church premises, grass-cutting, air-con services, pest control management, etc.
- Unlocking doors, arranging for the setup of equipment, tables, chairs and other items as requested by persons making the bookings.
- Assist in sourcing of quotations and renewal of contracts for maintenance jobs, in adherence with MCI’s financial procedures and guidelines.
- Attend to and manage vendors for minor repairs and improvement works in the church building premises.
B. Finance
- Count cash and cheques received over the previous week together with the OA.
- Bank in cash and cheques.
- Prepare cheques and payment vouchers.
- Post receipts and payments into the accounting software.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
- Prepare monthly bank and other reconciliations.
- Print and file full set of monthly financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules for auditors.
- Assist with queries from internal & external auditors.

6. Certificate in accounting and/or relevant experience will be an advantage but not necessary
