About Algrano

Forget the traditional coffee supply chain. At Algrano, we are a mission-driven, tech-first Swiss startup disrupting a centuries-old industry to make it transparent, digital and radically fair.

Through our innovative online marketplace, we empower coffee farmers to market and sell their beans directly to roasters across Europe and North America. But we don’t just stop at the digital connection, we provide the physical infrastructure, including logistics, insurance, and financing, to make direct, borderless trade a seamless reality.

By connecting the two ends of the supply chain, we are creating profound social and environmental impact. Honored with the Best Innovation award by the European Coffee Industry Association in 2015 for our launch and again in 2022 for our achievements, we currently serve over 1,000 sellers and roasters in more than 50 countries. Our vision is to become the premier platform for direct coffee trading globally.

The role

As an Administrative Assistant at Algrano, you will play a vital role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly. You’ll work with the Sourcing team, helping us deliver a high-quality service to our users. You’ll prepare contracts, keep the shipment plan clear for the operations team who executes them, help coordinate offers and samples during the harvest season and support EUDR and certification compliance.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone highly organized, proactive, and excited to be part of a mission-driven team transforming the coffee trade.

Your main tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Documentation: Prepare contracts and fixation letters.

  • Marketplace: Support offer and sample planning together with producers.

  • Spot Offers Maintenance: Keep spot coffee offers on the platform up to date and liaising with producers for payments.

  • Certification & EUDR: Review producer certification and process EUDR data for compliance.

  • General Admin Support: Support the team with various administrative tasks that help move shipping deals forward.

Your profile

You like getting the details right and solving problems, and you’re organised, proactive and curious. You communicate clearly and can adapt how you do it to the person and situation.

  • You’ve had your first exposure to the coffee industry and are excited to deepen your knowledge of sourcing, logistics, and operations.

  • Comfortable reaching out to people directly, by phone, video or message, to resolve an issue.

  • Confident with Excel or Google Sheets, and eager to learn CRM and reporting tools.

  • Able to work independently in a remote setting.

  • Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish (required).

  • Interested in a company where producers and roasters make their own decisions and we handle the infrastructure around them
