This position plays a vital role in the PSSC Records Management Department, maintaining records for the people we support.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for filing, purging, merging, and maintaining records for individuals supported at PSSC, including inactive records.
  • Ensure retention information is being kept or purged as required by guidelines.
  • Ensure all documents are filed in the proper section of the record, signatures, dates, and times on all entries and documents are signed and dated appropriately.
  • Transport individual records to the appropriate clinic or meeting.
  • Organize archive records to comply with legal requirements and PSSC guidelines.
  • Compose and type release information cover letters for APS disclosures. Maintain a disclosure log by documenting the release of information from the record to staff within the facility.
  • Assist and communicate with professional staff concerning problem resolution with regard to the individual’s health information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Administrator to support the Agency and /or the people we serve.

Position-Specific Details:

Location: Medical Records

Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Pass Days: Sat/Sun

Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, Detail to Special Duty, or Job Appointment. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
