Administrative Support Specialist – Leasing & Compliance
SNAP is seeking a qualified individual for an Administrative Support Specialist – Leasing & Compliance position to work in SNAP’s Housing Services Core. This position is full-time (30 hours/week), regular, and open to all qualified individuals.
Position Summary
Supports the Leasing and Compliance Manager with maintaining portfolio waitlists per fair housing rules, conducting formal screening of prospective tenants, and conducting initial compliance review of prospective and existing tenants.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages property waitlists. This includes removing non-responsive applicants, updating contact information, and assisting Community Administrators by contacting applicants for upcoming vacant units.
- Assist with both paper and electronic tenant file creation, clean up, and management. Assists Community Administrators by auditing files periodically to ensure all required forms are included.
- Follows all regulations, including but not limited to Fair Housing, WA Landlord Tenant Law, and various funder regulations.
- Collects, maintains, and reviews initial eligibility documents necessary to determine qualifications.
- Assists with UA calculations, HAP Renewals, and WBARS reports as needed by collecting data, completing forms, and submitting work product to various funders as instructed by the Leasing & Compliance Manager.
- Travels to properties within the housing portfolio as needed to assist with picking up compliance paperwork, posting notices, and other tasks as assigned.
- Schedules appointments as needed for the Leasing & Compliance Manager with tenants and applicants.
- Completes assigned projects and performs related duties as needed or situation dictates.
Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary: $20.11 – $22.47 per hour DOE
