Admissions Clerk/Insurance Billing Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is a dual role (Patient Access Clerk and Patient Account Representative), which requires a well-organized individual with strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and ability to work comfortably with both patients, as well as behind the screens, conduction insurance billing and patient account management. This position is responsible for the coordination of the financial aspects of patients’ medical care from scheduling, registration, billing, follow-up to account resolution. This position follows up on insurance claims to ensure full and timely reimbursement. Daily responsibility for registration coverage to ensure proper patient flow. Coordination with Clinical, Ancillary, HIM and Account/Finance will be required to ensure effective and efficient practices. The position may maintain and assess statistical reports and will make recommendation to the Patient Account Manager related to continuous process improvement and ongoing regulatory compliance.
