The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Admissions Manager to join Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI) in overseeing the 24/7 admissions process for our Crisis Residential Unit (CRU) and Detox/Withdrawal Management Unit. In this role, you’ll serve as a working clinical leader, ensuring timely, safe, and high-quality admissions while supporting clients during critical moments of entry into care.
You’ll collaborate closely with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to manage direct admissions, monitor referrals, complete clinical assessments, and guide staff and interns through the intake process. This role goes beyond operational oversight—it’s an opportunity to strengthen access to crisis services, uphold clinical excellence, and make a meaningful impact on how individuals receive care during moments of acute need.
What You’ll Do
- Oversees and monitors the 24/7 admissions processes to ensure compliance with procedures
- Ensures all admissions steps are completed for each client admitted to the CRU, Detox unit including EVS documentation, assessment, attachment of discharge paperwork, and additional as required.
- Makes recommendations for updated procedures as deemed appropriate to increase effectiveness
- Manages direct admissions during working hours, in collaboration with nursing staff if needed
- Monitors, tracks, and follows up on referrals that are received to the CRU and Detox unit
- Acts as the CRU clinician (Individual, group, crisis de-escalation), ensuring necessary documentation, assessments, and treatment plans are completed.
- Assesses client for safety/de-escalation during working hours on the unit
- Provides clinical supervision, as appropriate
- Supports interns working on the CRU/Detox, as well as integrating them into the intake process.
