Summary

Coordinates admissions, discharges, and resident administration for a nursing home, handling paperwork, stakeholder communication, and financial assistance processes.

The Admissions Officer supports the Medical Social Worker (MSW) in coordinating admissions, discharges, and resident administration. The role involves working closely with residents, families, hospitals, and internal departments to ensure a smooth admission process and provide administrative support throughout the resident's stay.

Key Responsibilities

Support the MSW in managing the end-to-end admission and discharge process.

Attend to admission enquiries from residents, family members, hospitals, and external stakeholders.

Coordinate nursing assessments, financial counselling, and admission arrangements.

Prepare and process admission, discharge, and resident-related documentation.Maintain accurate resident records and ensure timely updates.

Assist with applications for financial assistance and government subsidies.

Follow up on outstanding payments and billing-related matters.

Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure smooth coordination.

Support departmental KPIs and perform any other duties assigned by the MSW or Management.

Requirements
Diploma in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting, with hands-on experience in admissions and resident administration.

Experience working in a nursing home will be an advantage.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems.Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently with a service-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
