The Undergraduate Admissions Recruiters at the University of Colorado Denver are responsible for achieving enrollment targets through the development and execution of a recruitment plan by using a data informed approach to identifying key markets. Collaborating with the Director of Recruitment, the Admissions Counselors recruit prospective first year students, transfer students, and their family units to UCDenver and then assist with the admissions process.

What you will do\:
- Communicate with prospective students and their support systems about the admissions process and the benefits of earning an undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Denver through visits to high school, community college, or other community organizations.
- Contact and build relationships with high school counselors and community college advisors through various communication channels.
- Maximize the use of technology and software platforms to support and enhance recruitment outreach efforts.
- Coordinate ongoing strategic recruitment activities and communications for Local and Regional high schools and community colleges within a designated territory to meet and/or exceed annual recruitment goals.
- Utilize data tracking methods to develop and implement recruitment efforts and monitor return on investment data related to those efforts to adjust for future recruitment needs.
- Extensive local in-state recruitment travel leading to stressful work environment at times.
- Establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with on-campus partners, high school counselors, community college advisors, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent CU Denver at college fairs and recruitment events, which may include working some nights and weekends.
- During peak application times, support applicants in completing and submitting application documents.
- Collaborate with various office staff across campus to include but not be limited to admissions, financial aid, registration, bursar, campus advisors, new student orientation, housing & dining, information technology, faculty, and academic support staff to better educate students in high school and community colleges.
- Leverage a multi-modal recruitment strategy—to include in-person and online tactics—to guide prospective students through admissions processes.
- Create a recruitment plan utilizing tracked data to increase enrollment in assigned territories, utilizing Slate to track all events and show leads.
- Accountable for achieving measurable recruitment and enrollment outcomes within assigned territories and populations.

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualification at the time of hire.
- A bachelor’s degree in education, business, public administration, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
- One (1) year of professional experience.
Substitution\: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Two (2) or more years of Admissions counseling or education outreach experience.
- Event planning and management experience.
- Experience with Technolutions Slate software platform.
- Experience with student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft or Banner).

- Ability to interpret and apply Admissions guidelines and policies.
Conditions of Employment
Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.
- Must have a current Driver’s license and ability to drive to recruitment events.
- This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks requiring high collaboration. The condition of hybrid can be changed by supervisor.
Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements
This position may be performed in a hybrid or remote environment, requiring the ability to work effectively in a remote setting. This includes maintaining a dedicated workspace free of excessive noise or distractions, reliable internet connectivity, and the ability to participate in virtual meetings for extended periods. Employees must be able to independently manage time, remain stationary for prolonged computer-based work, and transport necessary equipment (such as a laptop and peripherals) between their remote work location and the office as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $47,400 - 55,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Colorado Denver provides generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
