ADP Integration Engineer
Description
Integration discovery and design
- Work with functional, application, payroll, HR technology, architecture, security, and vendor teams to understand integration requirements.
- Define source and target systems, data ownership, integration frequency, triggering events, field mappings, validation rules, transformations, and exception handling.
- Translate functional requirements into detailed interface specifications and technical designs.
- Identify dependencies involving employee master data, organizational structures, time entries, schedules, balances, activities, payroll exports, and result reconciliation.
- Ensure that the design addresses data quality, traceability, operational support, and controlled recovery from failures.
ADP WorkForce Suite integration configuration
- Configure and maintain standard ADP WorkForce Suite imports and exports.
- Create or modify integration tasks using the Policy Editor where qualified.
- Develop or maintain transformations, validation logic, mappings, and integration controls.
- Support HR imports, bank-balance imports, activity-tracking imports, time-entry and schedule imports, and payroll exports according to the approved project scope.
- Use JavaScript and SQL where required for approved integration development, troubleshooting, validation, or data analysis.
Testing and reconciliation
- Prepare integration unit-test scenarios and test data.
- Validate field mappings, transformations, record counts, rejected records, error conditions, and data completeness.
- Support system integration testing, end-to-end testing, payroll testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Reconcile source data, ADP WFS processing, export output, and target-system results.
- Investigate defects and determine whether their origin is mapping, transformation, configuration, source data, target processing, or environmental.
Deployment and production support
- Support integration migration and deployment across environments.
- Perform post-deployment validation and smoke testing.
- Establish or contribute to operational monitoring, runbooks, exception-handling procedures, and support handovers.
- Diagnose failed or incomplete integration runs and restore processing through approved support procedures.
- Support hypercare and production stabilization in collaboration with functional, application, payroll, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
Documentation and control
- Maintain interface specifications, mapping documents, data dictionaries, test evidence, deployment records, and support documentation.
- Ensure that integration changes are implemented through the agreed change-control and release process.
- Maintain traceability from approved requirement through design, development, testing, deployment, and production validation.
- Support audit evidence and control requirements relating to interface execution, exception resolution, and data reconciliation.
