Adult Literacy Teacher Moonlight

Duties: Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Adult Learning, the Adult Literacy Teacher Moonlight will be responsible for:

• Conduct and/or coordinate outreach/mentoring efforts to recruit participants in education programming.
• Schedule all appropriate class times and class locations.
• Providing regular progress reports and maintaining required statistics for the program as required by funding.
• Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed and support all aspects of the Peoria Park District safety program.
• Maintain certification in adult literacy.
• Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License.

Essential Functions: The work requires some physical exertion in handling supplies and materials relevant to programming. Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping at events. Ability to understand and complete paperwork and record-keeping in order to complete duties. Ability to operate a computer, copier, and fax machine.
