Adv. Embedded SW Engineer - Computer Enhanced

Summary

Develops and tests embedded C software for automotive gateway ECUs, using AUTOSAR, CAN/Ethernet, and diagnostic protocols while following ASPICE and Agile processes.

We are looking for an Advanced Embedded Software Developer to design, codify, configure, unit test and document software for the functionality implementation of Automotive Gateway ECUs, among others.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable software to deliver innovative solutions and integrate them into automotive platforms.
  • Apply product development processes in alignment with Agile methodologies (Scrum), including code reviews, design reviews, testing activities, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze, refine, and implement software requirements to ensure functional and technical compliance.
  • Design, develop, configure, and document automotive software products and features.
  • Create and maintain unit test frameworks, test code, and automation scripts, while supporting test teams in identifying and resolving testing issues.
  • Propose innovative solutions to technical challenges and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive issue resolution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to global development teams, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience writing low level embedded software in C language, compilers/linkers
  • 4+ years of experience using debuggers (iSystem, Lauterbach, etc)
  • 4+ years of experience using Configuration and Change Management tools (Integrity, ClearCase, Synergy, Git, JIRA, etc.)
  • Strong experience with diagnostic communication protocols such as UDS, OBD, J1939, J1699, J1979, among others.
  • Experience with CAN / CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, among others.
  • 4+ years of experience with verification / validation tools (Vector CANoe, Intrepid Vehicle Spy or equivalent and its extensions for Ethernet and diagnostics)
  • Knowledge of ASPICE, MISRA, FSM, CyberSecurity applied to SW development.
  • Practical knowledge of AUTOSAR.
  • Experience with Flash Bootloaders
  • Proficient in English language (written and spoken), able to effectively communicate with a global team in English.
  • Experience in collaborating with international and cross divisional teams.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as python, perl, etc.
  • Familiarity with test environments (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supplies among other bench tools) and testing methods.
