Advanced Machine Operator

Operational Function

• Conduct the production of the departments business. This involves, but is not limited to, the manufacturing and printing of various products.
• Ensuring production is conducted in a timeous and efficient manner.
• Alerting the heads of department of equipment and stock items to be purchased as and when the need arises.
• Assists with various other duties with regards to the production/printing department as and when required.
• Complete all the necessary paperwork as required by management.
• Safeguard company assets and company stock (raw material and finished goods) at all times.
• Operate machinery in the correct manner.
• Regular testing and maintenance of the machines.
• Understanding of the various substrates as listed in the signage department.
• Ensure that all health and safety standards are met.
• Ensure housekeeping is completed daily on all machines.
• Assist to provide advice to both internal and external stakeholders as and when required.
• Assist with any other ad-hoc functions as required by management.

• Compliance with all Company policies and procedures, more especially health and safety.
• Compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Be cognizant of hazards and report any risks to the management team.

Growth and new markets/products

• Customer and supplier relationship management.
• Assist with company projects or lead company projects if specific to stock control.
• Automation and management of the ordering process using Pastel/HIS/Website.
