Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Hardware

Luxottica seeks an AME Hardware Equipment & Fixture Engineer to join its Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in Agordo. You will develop, install, optimize and maintain manufacturing equipment, fixtures and tooling for our ophthalmic products.

The role requires hands-on experience with automated assembly equipment and strong troubleshooting skills to improve stability, quality and downtime. You will collaborate across Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Maintenance.

Support selection, installation, commissioning, debugging and buy-off of manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Evaluate equipment capability against product and process requirements; drive improvements. Support optimization of advanced assembly equipment and processes (glue dispensing, pressing, welding, soldering). Analyze failures and defects; define corrective actions with cross-functional teams. Develop and maintain production fixtures, tooling docs and process parameters. Coordinate suppliers for customized equipment and fixture development and cost improvements. Bachelors/masters level engineering background required. Hands-on with automated assembly equipment and processes. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and drive technical improvements. Knowledge of fixture/tooling design and related components. Experience in manufacturing environments with automation equipment.
