Role Overview

We are looking for professionals with a strong background in mathematics, mathematical research, problem-solving, and proof writing to contribute to an advanced AI training project. The role involves creating and reviewing challenging mathematical problems, solutions, proofs, and technical explanations that help AI systems improve their mathematical reasoning. No previous AI experience is required; strong mathematical expertise is the primary requirement.

CONTRACT: Freelance contractor, paid per completed task

COMMITMENT: Flexible, based on available tasks and project demand

LOCATIONS: Fully remote - GLOBAL

PROCESS: Application review, technical assessment, and onboarding

HOURLY RATE: $80-$90/h

Responsibilities

  • Author advanced mathematical problems, solutions, and proofs across calculus and other higher mathematics areas.
  • Review mathematical solutions for accuracy, rigor, completeness, and logical consistency.
  • Design challenging problems suitable for evaluating advanced mathematical reasoning.
  • Evaluate and refine mathematical content used in AI training datasets.
  • Identify errors, unsupported reasoning, or weaknesses in mathematical arguments.
  • Produce clear technical analyses, explanations, and mathematical justifications.
  • Apply appropriate research methodology when developing and validating mathematical concepts.
  • Explain complex mathematical ideas accurately and clearly in written form.
  • Provide structured feedback to improve the quality of mathematical content.
  • Collaborate with project teams and contribute specialist mathematical knowledge to AI training activities.

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of calculus, mathematical proofs, and higher mathematics.
  • Demonstrated experience writing mathematical proofs, research papers, or technical analyses.
  • Strong ability to solve advanced mathematical problems and validate mathematical reasoning.
  • Experience applying research methodologies to mathematical or quantitative problems.
  • Ability to produce precise, logically structured mathematical explanations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
