Advanced Practice Nurse (Ventilator Ward), QEH [For serving HA staff only]

Pay\: HK$64,518 to HK$89,978 (HGPS 26 to 33A) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities\:
1. Lead and supervise a nursing team within a clinical unit.
2. Develop professional nursing standard, care protocol and clinical pathway.
3. Provide complex patient care in a specialty/subspecialty.
4. Act as a resource and referral agent on clinical expertise.
5. Manage nurse-led services to provide specialized patient care.
6. Train and supervise nurse learners in advanced nursing specialty training.
7. Initiate and participate in evidenced-based practice and nursing research.
8. Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the service.
9. Provide professional advices to patients with mechanical ventilation.
Entry Requirements\:
1. Holder of a valid Registered Nurse practicing certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
2. Qualification in advanced nursing specialty*.
3. A degree in Nursing or equivalent.
4. 5 years or more post-registration experience in healthcare, of which at least 3 years is in the related specialty.
*Qualification in advanced nursing specialty refers to recognized post-registration certificate, or post-graduate certificate/diploma course in nursing specialty, or Master in nursing# or related discipline with considerable coverage on a relevant nursing specialty.
#Only post-registration Master in nursing programmes are accepted.
Preferred Attributes / Exposure\:
1. Demonstrated competency requirements and leadership ability of an APN.
2. A Master degree in nursing or related discipline.
3. Contribution to professional development including research/evidence-based practice, teaching and training.
4. An Advanced Mechanical Ventilation (MV) certificate, or an equivalent/related qualification.
