- Lead procurement activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept to series production
- Develop and validate product cost calculations, target costs, and cost engineering models to support competitive product development
- Drive value engineering and cost reduction initiatives across the product lifecycle
- Conduct market research, technology scouting, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership analyses to identify competitive solutions.
- Select, qualify, and develop suppliers while evaluating supplier capabilities, risks, and performance
- Contribute to sourcing, commodity, and supplier strategies in close collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations
- Coordinate change management activities and support the introduction, phase-in, and phase-out of components and assemblies throughout the product lifecycle
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in Procurement, Advanced Procurement, NPI, Cost Engineering, Value Engineering, or a related function
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand technologies, manufacturing processes, and cost structures
- Experience working in cross-functional and international project teams
- Knowledge of target costing, design-to-cost, supplier management, and value engineering methodologies
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
- Proactive, independent, and structured working style with strong problem-solving capabilities
