INTRODUCTION:

The Advanced Security Guard is responsible for ensuring that all tribal property and visitors to Tribal Offices in the Siletz area are secure on each shift.

DUTIES:

• Patrol tribal property areas; check all doors, windows, and gates. Check for any irregularities.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents at Tribal properties that require intervention.
• Answer alarms, investigate disturbances, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
• Warn persons of rule infractions (i.e. no camping allowed on tribal property, no skateboarding, no loitering, etc.) and notify authorities, as necessary.
• Notify authorities, if necessary, of any problems which arise. Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Unless directed by the CEO, Security guard will confine their patrols and building checks to the Tribe's property and buildings. CTSI has offices located in the downtown Siletz area.
• Maintain log throughout each shift and complete incident reports of any problems or irregularities.
• Participate in ongoing training and certifications that will enhance safety of the community.
• Communicate with the public, Tribal management, and emergency services as required.
• May serve as a member of the Safety Committee.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
