Basic Function:

The Advisor, Digital Marketing leads digital marketing activity, including social media, website management and CRM support, for the Phillips 66 UK business and its consumer-facing brands.

Reporting to the Manager, Brand UK Marketing, this role is responsible for the planning, development and delivery of social content, campaigns and omnichannel communications that strengthen brand visibility, amplify the UK Integrated business and extend the reach of messaging internally and externally.

Working across multiple brands and functions, the role develops and executes communication strategies, manages website content and performance across the Phillips 66 UK and JET websites, supports effective use of the UK Marketing Salesforce CRM tool, drives audience growth and engagement, and uses performance insights to optimise digital effectiveness across UK Marketing and the wider UK business.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Develop and execute a strategic social media plan stretching across Phillips UK business, JET and Aviation brands on all social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Manage the social media agency’s time, budget, workload and delivery across campaigns and projects, including writing briefs, tracking status and managing allocated marketing spend.
  • Align with Corporate Communications, UK integrated business and UKM brands to ensure brand consistency and message cohesion.
  • Manage organic, paid and social listening activity on both always- on and campaign basis.
  • Create and manage the content calendars, to ensure consistent and engaging content across all social media platforms.
  • Lead social media crisis management by developing and implementing proactive strategies to address and resolve any issues that may arise. This will mean working with key communicators within the UK business.
  • Proactively monitoring brand activity and relevant themes/news stories to identify timely content opportunities, assets and conversations within brand communities.
  • Research and identify social media best practices, trends and relevant brand examples within the space for proposals and online audits.
  • Ability to liaise with internal clients, brand marketing to deliver on business objectives through social media channels.
  • Building audience growth and engagement across social channels while maintaining a unified brand voice and high creative standards.
  • Use demographic insight to identify and target key audiences across brands.

Brand and Reputation Management

  • Monitor and manage social media channels to proactively safeguard and enhance brand reputation through effective community management, audience engagement, and timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with UK Marketing leadership, UKEPT, Corporate Communications to address issues or crises effectively.

Performance Tracking

  • Monitor and analyse social media and website performance using relevant analytics tools and KPIs.
  • Prepare regular performance reports, identify trends and opportunities for improvement and develop data- driven action plans to optimize engagement, traffic and overall digital performance.

Website Management

  • Manage of the Phillips 66 UK website, including content governance, website KPIs and alignment with Corporate Brand Marketing.
  • Manage the JET website in partnership with the B2B & Retail Brand Marketing Specialists, ensuring content remains current, on-brand and aligned to KPIs.
  • Manage the Website agency and oversee delivery against agreed objectives e.g. improving SEO.

Salesforce Management

  • Support management of the UK Marketing CRM tool, working with IT and key stakeholders to ensure it operates effectively.

Critical Skills/Leadership Criteria

  • Has the legal right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis without restrictions or meet the relevant criteria for employer sponsorship under the UK points-based immigration system.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media and digital communications, ideally within a corporate environment.
  • Experience working with creative agencies and developing media plans.
  • Strong track record of managing and growing both B2C and B2B social media presence.
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social – or similar social media management platforms.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience developing and reporting on metrics to demonstrate ROI for marketing activity.
  • Detail-oriented, well organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
