active worldwide as a vegetable breeding company that focuses on the
development of high-quality vegetable varieties for professional growers.

active in seed production and breeding support (Rijk Zwaan Q-Sem, in Tengeru
Arusha) and in breeding and product development (Rijk Zwaan Afrisem, in USA

Reports to: Chief Operations Manager
Job Summary: The HR Advisor is a versatile
professional with comprehensive knowledge of all HR aspects within an
international context. One of the primary responsibilities is to develop
employees and uphold our unique company values. It is crucial to maintain
strong relationships and ensure excellent communication with all internal and
external stakeholders, adhering to our core values. This role demands
exceptional communication and collaborative skills.

- Within this role, you are responsible for
Human Resources in a growing company.

- The main responsibility for the HR team is to

- This is done through recruitment, to hire the
right person for the right job is essential to keep our valuable company
culture alive.
- In addition, you focus on the development of
the employees, like education, career counseling and coaching.
- You inform the employees about employee
benefits through the HR handbook, where the most important topics and
policies are covered.
- You maintain relationships with external
vendors / employment agencies and keep in touch with government officials,
(health) insurance companies and other relevant organizations.
- Therefore, it is also important that your
knowledge of the labor law and social security is up to date.
- You work closely with your manager; the
management of the departments you are HR advisor for and with the Managing
Directors of Rijk Zwaan Tanzania.
- There is a close collaboration between the
Human Resources departments in Tanzania and the head office in the
Netherlands.
Requirements
What do you bring?
You are independent, with high integrity, confidentiality and good
business ethics and know how to set priorities and work accurately. You enjoy
arranging, organizing and helping others, while creating and maintaining an
overview. Since your own input is valued, you like to think proactively and
identify opportunities to increase efficiency. You are flexible. Due to the
many different contacts, you have strong communication skills, both verbally
and in writing.
In addition, we expect the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in
human resources or psychology, a master’s degree in the same area will be
an added advantage.
- At least 5 years’
relevant experience.
- Experience with
working in an international environment.
- Experience with
assessing and coaching people.
- You are a strong
communicator; you can convince people in a friendly but determined way.
- Furthermore, you
have a strong work ethic, you are enterprising and flexible in dealing
with issues, have empathy, focus on quality and like to work with a great
diversity of people on different levels.
- You are a team
player.
- You are strongly
intrinsically motivated, and you like to work on projects in a pragmatic
and enthusiastic way.
- You have a positive
mind-set and strong social skills.
- Because of the
international nature of the role, proficiency in the English language is
essential.
- You are willing and
are flexible to travel. In Arusha,
we have three different locations.
- Sometimes
international travel will be required
