Advisor to the Director
This position is located in Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) and serves as a principal assistant and technical advisor and authority to the Director on Division matters and is responsible for providing direction and coordination across organizational lines as well as acting as a spokesperson for the Director. Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill identical vacancies that arise later.
Performs senior-level analytical and technical assignments involving RMS programs, including researching and suggesting solutions to technical, procedural and administrative matters involving supervision activities that require leadership attention. Conducts research, prepares evaluations, issues analyses and develops applicable directives, memoranda, briefings, speeches, presentations, and letters for the Director and senior management. Identifies, plans, researches and conducts complex studies designed to evaluate the existing, proposed and alternative plans to meet policies and program objectives. Advises on new and innovative approaches to supervision activity. Supports division priorities by facilitating and contributing to integrated projects and program activities through partnerships with senior-level management, subject-matter experts and staff across program areas within RMS and other FDIC divisions. Advises the Director on technical bank supervision issues and supports the preparation of internal and interagency coordination, supports the communication of RMS memoranda and other issuances stating the Division's position. Initiates and completes confidential assignments requiring discretion, sound judgment, and adherence to established policies and frameworks.
