AEC Technical Recruiter

This is an opportunity to join a growing professional services organization supporting architecture, engineering, and federal contracting talent needs.
You will manage full-cycle recruiting across technical and corporate roles, including staffing for complex CONUS and OCONUS projects.
The role combines strategic talent advisory with hands-on sourcing, candidate assessment, and pipeline development.
You’ll work closely with hiring managers and technical leaders to translate business needs into effective recruiting strategies.
Your expertise will help identify specialized, high-performing, and diverse talent in competitive labor markets.

Accountabilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned corporate positions while supporting staffing requirements for federal CONUS and OCONUS projects and proposals.
- Conduct detailed intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, competencies, market conditions, sourcing strategies, interview processes, and hiring expectations.
- Provide consultative guidance on talent availability, candidate qualifications, market competitiveness, sourcing approaches, employment considerations, and recruiting best practices.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies using job boards, technical networks, professional platforms, social sourcing, referrals, and direct outreach to attract specialized and diverse candidates.
- Create personalized outreach campaigns for passive talent and effectively communicate the organization’s employee value proposition.
- Conduct candidate screening and structured interviews to evaluate technical capabilities, experience, role suitability, compensation expectations, and alignment with organizational and contractual requirements.
- Present well-qualified, thoughtfully evaluated candidate shortlists and maintain clear communication with hiring managers throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, workflows, documentation, dispositions, and compliance information within the applicant tracking system.
- Monitor pipeline health, provide regular hiring-market insights and progress updates, and proactively identify challenges that could affect time to hire.
- Partner with hiring teams and technical stakeholders to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, sourcing efficiency, and communication workflows.
- Stay current on recruiting trends, talent-market conditions, employment compliance requirements, and developments across architecture, engineering, and federal contracting.
- Support a high-quality, equitable, and engaging candidate experience while building sustainable talent pipelines for future organizational needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience demonstrating strong technical recruiting capabilities.
- At least 3 years of recruiting experience across technical disciplines, with demonstrated success supporting architecture, engineering, and/or federal civilian or Department of Defense staffing environments.
- Strong full-cycle recruiting experience in high-volume and compliance-focused environments, including familiarity with federal contracting and proposal-driven staffing requirements.
- Advanced sourcing capabilities, including the use of technical platforms, industry networks, targeted outreach, referrals, and social sourcing to identify specialized and diverse talent.
- Ability to assess technical skills, professional experience, and candidate qualifications against organizational, project, and contractual requirements.
- Strong consultative and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence hiring managers and technical leaders through market knowledge and talent insights.
- Excellent communication and service orientation, with the ability to represent an employer brand professionally and create a positive candidate experience.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong accuracy in ATS management, candidate documentation, workflow tracking, and compliance records.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and shifting priorities while maintaining momentum during contract timelines and proposal cycles.
- Self-directed and comfortable working remotely, with strong prioritization, follow-through, and independent decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, as well as experience working with applicant tracking systems.
- Working knowledge of EEO and OFCCP requirements and other recruiting compliance considerations.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or passport for potential commercial air travel.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain a reliable wired broadband connection suitable for video conferencing, VPN access, and cloud-based applications, with minimum speeds of 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload; some positions may require higher speeds.
- Strong adaptability, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability in a fast-changing, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Salary: $65,000–$80,000 USD annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
