AEM - UI EDS - Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AEM - UI EDS - Consultant based in India.

As an AEM UI EDS Consultant, you will design and develop modern, responsive, and high-performance digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager and contemporary frontend technologies. You will translate business and content requirements into scalable technical solutions and intuitive authoring experiences. The role combines hands-on frontend development with expertise in CMS-driven web platforms, design systems, APIs, and accessibility. You will help deliver experiences that perform consistently across devices while meeting high standards for usability and maintainability. Your work will involve collaborating with business, content, and technical stakeholders to create effective digital solutions. You will also contribute to performance optimization, benchmarking, and the adoption of modern development practices. Accountabilities:

  • Design and develop modern, responsive, and high-performance web experiences using Adobe Experience Manager and frontend technologies.
  • Translate business, technical, and content requirements into scalable and effective digital solutions.
  • Develop mobile-first and responsive interfaces that provide consistent experiences across devices and screen sizes.
  • Build reusable frontend components and solutions using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
  • Apply design systems, style guides, pattern libraries, and component-based approaches to maintain consistent user experiences.
  • Collaborate with business and content teams to create intuitive and effective CMS authoring experiences.
  • Integrate digital experiences with RESTful and GraphQL APIs where required.
  • Apply web accessibility standards and WCAG guidelines throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Structure content and information architectures to support usability, discoverability, and effective content management.
  • Implement and maintain modern frontend build pipelines using tools such as Babel, Webpack, and NPM.
  • Use Git and established version-control practices to manage source code and collaborate effectively with development teams.
  • Monitor and optimize web performance using Core Web Vitals, browser developer tools, benchmarking, and other performance analysis techniques.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements that enhance page speed, scalability, and overall user experience.
  • Contribute to modern frontend architectures, including Micro Frontend and headless implementations where appropriate.
  • Stay informed about emerging frontend, CMS, design, and web performance technologies and apply relevant practices to digital projects.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, Adobe Experience Manager, CMS implementation, or a closely related field.
    • Strong hands-on experience with AEM and CMS-driven digital experiences.
    • Expert-level knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, with familiarity with BEM methodology preferred.
    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including the JavaScript object model, DOM manipulation, and ES6 features.
    • Demonstrated expertise in responsive and mobile-first web development.
    • Strong understanding of JAMstack and modern frontend development approaches.
    • Experience working with design systems, style guides, pattern libraries, and reusable component architectures.
    • Familiarity with Atomic Design principles is an advantage.
    • Experience integrating and working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
    • Solid understanding of web accessibility and WCAG guidelines.
    • Knowledge of information architecture and effective content structuring for CMS environments.
    • Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
    • Experience with modern frontend build and development tools, including Babel, Webpack, NPM, or comparable technologies.
    • Proficiency with Git and modern source-control workflows.
    • Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals and frontend performance optimization techniques.
    • Experience using browser developer tools and other techniques to identify performance insights and optimize web applications.
    • Understanding of Micro Frontend concepts and headless implementations is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to benchmarking and optimization.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with business, content, design, and technical stakeholders.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
