This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AEM - UI EDS - Technical Lead / Frontend Development Lead based in India.

As a Technical Lead, you will lead the delivery of sophisticated customer-facing web platforms using modern front-end technologies and CMS solutions. You will own technical delivery from discovery and requirements gathering through implementation, quality assurance, and client handover. The role combines hands-on frontend engineering with technical leadership, consulting, and customer engagement. You will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while guiding teams toward high-quality development practices. You will collaborate with creative, content, development, and customer teams to shape authoring experiences, templates, components, and governance strategies. You will also mentor developers, contribute to pre-sales initiatives, and help evolve frontend practices through research and innovation. Accountabilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of customer web platforms, including defining scope, timelines, technical solutions, dependencies, and delivery plans.
  • Participate in discovery sessions to understand business priorities, customer expectations, and CMS authoring requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops involving creative, content, and development teams to define templates, components, requirements, and governance approaches.
  • Work directly with customers to gather business requirements, manage expectations, communicate progress, clarify dependencies, and align on delivery timelines.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead story and task grooming sessions, assess dependencies and prerequisites, and support technical estimation and solutioning activities.
  • Design, build, and maintain reusable JavaScript, HTML, and CSS components and frontend solutions.
  • Review pull requests, maintain development quality, enforce engineering best practices, and provide technical guidance to development teams.
  • Coach and mentor developers, helping strengthen their frontend engineering capabilities and overall delivery practices.
  • Support customer content teams with CMS platform usage, authoring guidance, and ongoing technical support.
  • Lead feature and product demonstrations for customers and communicate technical solutions effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project retrospectives, identify improvement opportunities, and turn lessons learned into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams on go-to-market service offerings, technical proposals, and pre-sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate customer feedback with relevant product teams and contribute to continuous product and service improvements.
  • Research emerging frontend, design, CMS, and web technologies to improve development and design workflows.
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of professional experience in frontend development, technical leadership, web engineering, or a closely related field.
    • Strong experience working with CMS platforms, including a functional understanding of template editors, content authoring workflows, and content roles.
    • Expert-level frontend development experience, particularly with JAMstack architectures and modern web platforms.
    • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including DOM manipulation, JavaScript object models, and modern ES6+ capabilities.
    • Experience with responsive design and mobile-oriented web experiences.
    • Strong understanding of design systems, style guides, pattern libraries, and reusable component architectures.
    • Knowledge of Less or Sass and familiarity with BEM methodology is preferred.
    • Familiarity with Atomic Design principles is a plus.
    • Experience working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
    • Understanding of Micro Frontend architectures and headless implementations is an advantage.
    • Solid understanding of web accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines.
    • Strong knowledge of content authoring, content usability, information architecture, and effective content structuring within CMS environments.
    • Familiarity with design and collaboration tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
    • Experience with modern frontend build pipelines and tools, including Babel, Webpack, NPM, and similar technologies.
    • Strong understanding of Git and modern code versioning practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear technical requirements and implementation plans.
    • Strong understanding of web performance optimization, benchmarking, Core Web Vitals, and frontend performance best practices.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimization and delivering scalable solutions.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
