The opportunity

Apply to join AEMO’s Internship Talent Pool for future paid opportunities in Engineering, Analytics and Digital. This talent pool will be used to fill internship opportunities that arise over the next 12 months, across both part-time and summer internship formats. If selected into the pool, your application will be considered for relevant opportunities as they become available.

  • Part-time internships: 1-3 days per week in paid ongoing internship roles

  • Full-time internships: paid summer internship opportunities

  • Hands-on experience working on meaningful challenges in the energy sector

  • A potential pathway to the AEMO Graduate Program

Eligibility

  • You must be currently studying a relevant degree at an Australian university

  • Internships are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students

    • Undergraduate students must have completed all first-year subjects (8 subjects)

    • Postgraduate students must have completed one semester of study (4 subjects)

  • Relevant degrees may include

    • Engineering: Electrical, Power Systems or Mechatronics

    • Science: Mathematics, Physics or Statistics

    • Data and Technology: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Software Engineering

  • You must have the right to work in Australia

Internship locations

Brisbane, Sydney CBD, Western Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth

Recruitment process
