AES - DE - DevOps - Azure DevOps
Looking for a strong DevOps / Azure Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in cloud-native engineering, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, observability, and operational excellence. The role will support application/platform teams in building scalable, secure, and resilient solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a strong focus on automation, DevSecOps, and cost-efficient operations.
The candidate should have a good understanding of microservices-based architectures, event-driven systems, cloud infrastructure automation, and modern engineering practices that enable reliable and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, setup, and automation of cloud infrastructure on Azure
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Bicep
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Work with application teams to enable deployment automation, environment standardization, and release reliability
- Support applications built on microservices architecture and event-driven patterns
- Contribute to monitoring, alerting, observability, and performance optimization
- Help implement DevSecOps controls across build, deploy, and runtime stages
- Drive cost optimization / FinOps practices by identifying cloud inefficiencies and recommending improvements
- Automate operational tasks using Bash, PowerShell, and YAML
- Support performance and load testing activities to validate scalability and resilience
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and architecture teams to improve platform reliability and delivery maturity
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Good understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience or awareness of event-driven systems, including queues, topics, and asynchronous communication patterns
- Exposure to performance testing / load testing concepts and tools
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
- Terraform
- Bicep
- Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using:
- GitHub Actions
- Good knowledge of the Azure platform, including infrastructure and application hosting services
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, logging, metrics, dashboards, and alerting
- Understanding of cloud cost optimization / FinOps practices
- Good awareness of security and DevSecOps practices across infrastructure and pipelines
- Strong scripting/automation skills in:
- Bash
- PowerShell
- YAML
- Familiarity with containerized workloads and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes / AKS
- Exposure to SRE practices such as reliability engineering, SLOs/SLIs, incident reduction, and automation
