AFR Specialist

Job Purpose

The Airfreight Specialist is responsible for managing assigned air freight export and import shipments from start to finish, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and a high level of customer satisfaction. The role includes shipment coordination, carrier bookings, documentation, customer communication, billing, and quotation management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage export and import shipments on a door-to-door basis.
• Coordinate bookings with airlines and monitor shipment progress.
• Prepare and control shipping documents and operational data.
• Create and maintain accurate cost, revenue, and billing records.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare customer quotations and follow up on business opportunities.
• Support gross profit growth through effective file management and cost optimization.
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Handle shipment irregularities, claims, and operational issues proactively.
• Promote DHL services, including cargo insurance solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, overseas offices, carriers, and suppliers.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• University degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Air Freight Operations (Export and Import).
• IATA Dangerous Goods Certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills both in Turkish&English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
• Excellent team player with strong coordination and problem solving skills
• Residence in Bursa
• No military service obligation (for male candidates)
