After Care Teacher
Wellington’s Early Childhood and Lower School Aftercare Program supports three-year-old students through fourth grade. It is a fee-based program designed to provide a safe, positive, and fun transition between the school day and home. The Aftercare Program is available from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Indoor/outdoor recess, snacks, and themed activities are just a few of the experiences for the students while in Aftercare.
Aftercare teachers are responsible for supervising and providing a positive and safe experience for students after school. Students are in smaller groups based on age, and each group is supported by dedicated staff through the afternoon. Students’ interests guide some of the activities and teachers’ interests can also guide the offerings for students.
