After School Care Assistant

St. Anne Catholic School is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic After School Care Assistant to join our school community. This individual will help provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for students participating in our after-school program.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, demonstrates patience and professionalism, and supports the mission and values of Catholic education. This position is well-suited for individuals seeking part-time work in a positive, child-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise students and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist with student check-in, dismissal, and parent/guardian pick-up procedures.
• Plan, lead, and participate in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, games, crafts, and recreational opportunities.
• Support students with homework, reading, and other educational activities.
• Assist with snack distribution and clean-up.
• Foster positive relationships with students and encourage respectful behavior.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, families, faculty, and staff.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming after-school environment.
• Support and uphold the mission and values of St. Anne Catholic School.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, recreation, or similar setting preferred.
• Dependable, patient, flexible, and able to work effectively with children of varying ages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Additional Information

This is a part-time, school-year position scheduled Monday-Friday, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Candidates may have opportunities to work additional hours during:

• Early dismissal days
• Teacher workdays
• Special school events
• Summer care programs
