Aftermarket Sales Director
Position Summary:
The Aftermarket Sales Director will lead and grow the aftermarket sales division for a leading OEM manufacturer of transmissions and fan clutches for tractors and construction trucks. This strategic role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding distribution networks, and enhancing customer satisfaction across North and South America. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in aftermarket parts sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the aftermarket sales strategy aligned with company goals.
Identify new market opportunities and product offerings to expand revenue streams.
Sales Management:
Lead and mentor a team of regional sales managers and aftermarket specialists.
Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
Customer & Channel Development:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, fleet operators, and service centers.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with key accounts.
Market Intelligence:
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to align aftermarket offerings with customer needs.
Operational Excellence:
Work closely with supply chain and logistics to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
Oversee warranty programs, returns, and customer service processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in aftermarket sales within the heavy equipment, truck, or agricultural machinery sectors.
Strong understanding of transmission systems, fan clutches, and related components.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
Multilingual capabilities (e.g., Spanish Italian or Portuguese) a plus.
Familiarity with OEM and Tier 1 supplier environments.
