Aftersales Manager (Commercial Vehicles)

A great opportunity for a successful aftersales leader to join an innovative and dynamic commercial vehicle business as Aftersales Manager based in South Dublin.

The Role

• Manage the aftersales operations covering service, parts, workshop and warranty
• Set annual budgets and monitor performance on a monthly basis
• Review pricing policies and labour rates
• Operational responsibility for parts, including holding stock and minimisation of obsolete stock
• Work closely with the Workshop Manager to manage workshop productivity, efficiency and utilisation
• Manage debtors to ensure settlement within agreed timeframes
• Monitor warranty claims to ensure their correct administration in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines
• Agree staff incentive schemes
• Ensure customer complaints are managed quickly and effectively
• Aftersales marketing in coordination with other departments
• Agree advertising and promotions to drive aftersales customers!
• Staff training and development
• Schedule regular weekly meetings with the service team to address targets, issues and concerns
• Maintain regular contact with the manufacturer on all matters

The Person

• An existing Aftersales Manager within a similar business for at least 5 years
• Parts and Service experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience working as a HGV Technician highly advantageous
• Leadership skills
• Ability to initiate change and improvements
• Customer focused approach
