Clera is seeking an Agent Engineer to design and build the platform architecture and AI agents for their e-commerce SEO product. This foundational role involves end-to-end feature development using React, TypeScript, Supabase, and Railway in a fast-paced startup environment.
About the Role
We're a small, early-stage AI/SEO platform helping e-commerce brands win in the evolving search landscape — and we're looking for an Agent Engineer to design, build, and own the agents and web platform they run on. This is a foundational role at a seed-stage company where your architectural decisions will shape the product from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Craft the platform architecture and establish technical standards across the stack.
Ship features end-to-end, making smart tradeoffs between speed and long-term maintainability.
Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into a beautiful, intuitive product.
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience building and shipping web applications with React and TypeScript.
Proficiency with Tailwind CSS in React projects.
Experience integrating Supabase backend services into production applications.
Familiarity deploying and hosting applications on Railway or comparable platforms.
Prior experience in a startup or seed-stage environment — comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats.
Ability to collaborate with customers to define architecture and set technical direction.
Location
Based in San Francisco, CA. On-site preferred; relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.
