Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master

Leads agile teams to deliver HR and payroll software projects, removing blockers and coaching teams using Scrum practices.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project/ManagerScrum Master to join our growing team and support the delivery of key initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will lead one or more agile teams, drive effective collaboration, remove impediments, and guide teams toward high performance. You will be a servant leader who ensures delivery of value, organizational alignment, and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for a mid -level candidate with solid scrum/agile experience who is ready to take on broader responsibilities across planning, delivery, and communication
Responsibilities
- Lead agile teams across the organization to deliver prioritized projects and BAU work, practicing servant leadership and enabling high performance.
- Manage team activities, remove impediments, and identify risks to sprint and release completion. Develop and propose corrective actions independently.
- Understand project costs and financial impact, monitor budget variance, explain deviations, and manage ROI — recommending direction changes when needed.
- Facilitate project kickoffs, release planning, sprint ceremonies, and present updates to peers, managers, and directors.
- Track work quality through metrics, identify trends, and partner with managers to improve team velocity, efficiency, and processes.
- Foster a collaborative environment, conduct agility health assessments, and lead retrospectives to support high-performing teams.
- Ensure team members have needed information, assess their strengths and development needs, and provide coaching support.
- Create and maintain project work plans, report status regularly, highlight risks and resource issues, and support PM standards and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience working with agile teams within software development or technology environments.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate agile ceremonies, manage team dynamics, and drive alignment.
- Experience identifying risks, managing dependencies, and communicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to guide teams through change while maintaining focus on delivery and value.
- Solid problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.
