Our client, a leading player in the agricultural sector, is seeking a Agri Manager (Agronomist) to join their Palm Oil Estates Operations team in Indonesia. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and adventurous South African, based anywhere in South Africa, to take on a dynamic, hands-on role within large-scale field operations in a highly rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily field activities including planting, harvesting, crop care, and road maintenance.
  • Ensure efficient transportation of harvested fruit from the estate to the mills.
  • Analyse productivity data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and upskill a team of 50–150 field workers across 500–2,300 hectares.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in agriculture or field-based operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Independent, proactive, eager to learn, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-culturally.
  • Open to learning new languages and living in a remote location.
  • Single and adventurous, with a love for the outdoors and sports.
