Agribusiness Manager
Job Summary
The Agribusiness Manager will have end-to-end ownership of cultivation, sourcing, and supply of raw materials, ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and quality supply to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Define raw material sourcing strategy (local vs import)
- Plan acreage, crop mix, and sourcing volumes
Cultivation & Farmer Network
- Develop and manage contract farming program
- Recruit and train farmers and aggregators
Sourcing & Procurement
- Lead procurement of raw materials from farmers and traders
- Develop supplier and aggregator network
Supply Chain & Operations
- Organize collection, aggregation, and preprocessing
- Set up and manage collection centers
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
- Maintain traceability across supply chain
Stakeholder Management
- Work with partners, NGOs, and government bodies
- Coordinate with internal teams (Quality, Supply Chain, Finance)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Agronomy / Supply Chain or related field
- 8–12 years experience across agribusiness, sourcing/procurement, and supply chain
- Experience in contract farming/outgrower models and agri commodities sourcing
- Strong commercial and cost understanding
- Ability to manage end-to-end supply chain
- Strong negotiation and sourcing capability
