About the Role

Iriju Boulevard Farms is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Agronomist to oversee crop production, implement best agronomic practices, and support innovation in nutrient management, pest control, irrigation, and greenhouse farming.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement crop management plans from planting to harvest.
• Provide technical expertise in nutrient and pest management for vegetables and fruits.
• Monitor soil, water, and crop health and recommend timely interventions.
• Supervise and train farm workers on agronomic practices, farm safety, and biosecurity.
• Manage irrigation schedules and promote efficient water usage.
• Conduct trials of new crop varieties and farming techniques.
• Maintain accurate farm records and report production data to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• 2–5 years' hands-on experience in vegetable farming.
• Experience with bell pepper, cucumber, or habanero farming is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of greenhouse farming systems.
• Strong understanding of soil fertility, irrigation, and pest/disease management.
• Ability to supervise workers and train junior staff.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and record-keeping skills.
