AI Agent Application Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI Agent Application Engineer to develop intelligent customer service, operational assistance, transaction assistance and internal productivity solutions. You will work closely with product, engineering, risk and operations teams to turn business requirements into reliable AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents for customer service, operations, market information and internal workflow automation.
• Build agent workflows using large language models, retrieval systems, tool calling and structured business rules.
• Integrate AI applications with internal systems, databases and third-party services.
• Develop conversation management, intent recognition, task routing and human-escalation mechanisms.
• Improve response accuracy, stability, latency and cost efficiency.
• Establish evaluation datasets and monitor AI application quality in production.
• Implement appropriate access controls, audit logs and safeguards for sensitive information.
• Work with product managers and business teams to identify and deliver high-value AI use cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python and experience developing production-grade backend services.
• Practical experience with large language model APIs, RAG, vector databases or agent frameworks.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, cloud services and distributed systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building customer service, financial technology or workflow automation applications.
• Familiarity with model evaluation, prompt testing, observability and AI safety controls.
• Experience with Java, Go, TypeScript or modern frontend frameworks.
• Understanding of real-time transaction or financial data systems.
