Team Introduction

The TikTok Monetization Quality Assurance team supports TikTok's global advertising business by building quality assurance and engineering efficiency solutions across core areas, including ad delivery, attribution, platform tools, system stability, and incident response.

We are leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents to transform how we approach engineering development and production reliability. Our goal is to shift complex issue detection, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution from expert-dependent processes to intelligent, automated, and scalable solutions.

This is not a traditional software testing role. It is a hands-on engineering position focused on AI Agent development, engineering platforms, system reliability, and R&D efficiency, addressing real-world challenges within TikTok's complex advertising ecosystem.

Responsibilities

- Develop AI Agents for TikTok's monetization business, focusing on incident response, system stability, and reliability. Build core chatbot capabilities, including information retrieval, content generation, memory management, and task execution.

- Drive the development and implementation of AI Agent applications in quality assurance scenarios, including context engineering, tool-calling design, knowledge retrieval, task decomposition, and multi-turn interactions.

- Solve key technical challenges in productionizing AI Agents, including long-running task reliability, execution stability, cost optimization, exception recovery, and result verification.

- Continuously optimize training infrastructure, engineering productivity tools, and evaluation feedback loops to support model iteration and transform AI Agent prototypes into reliable, production-ready systems.

- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Algorithm, SRE, and Data teams to transform engineers' troubleshooting experience, quality assurance strategies, and business knowledge into reusable intelligent system capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

- Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, and databases.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Go, Python, Java, TypeScript, or C++, with strong coding skills and good software engineering practices.

- Interest in or practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Prompt Engineering, tool calling, and model evaluation.

- Strong curiosity, self-motivation, and a sense of ownership, with a willingness to tackle complex real-world production challenges and investigate their root causes.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on project experience in AI Agents, LLM applications, RAG, intelligent question-answering systems, or automated workflows.

- Experience or exposure to system reliability, AIOps, intelligent troubleshooting, log analysis, monitoring and alerting, or incident root cause analysis.

- Experience contributing to medium- or large-scale engineering projects, open-source initiatives, technical competitions, or high-quality internships.

- Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for coding, troubleshooting, documentation analysis, and solution design, while critically evaluating, validating, and improving AI-generated outputs.
