AI and Big Data Specialist – AI Accounting & Automation

About the role:

• Build vBiz’s AI accounting features and improve how we develop and test software using AI. Work with engineers and accountants to deliver reliable workflows, with human approval for accounting changes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with business partners, technology teams, and end-users to elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements.

• Identify operational pain points and conceptualize high-value data analytics and AI use cases to address core business needs.

• Develop detailed product requirement specifications (PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria) focused on maximizing business value and delivering exceptional user experience.

• Partner with key stakeholders to analyze user stories, review current-state workflows, and recommend targeted business process enhancements.

• Lead full-lifecycle project business analysis, from preliminary feasibility studies through implementation, rollout, and post-launch support.

• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with business leaders, practice heads, and key decision-makers.

• Oversee system integration testing, manage structured User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and conduct post-implementation reviews to assess performance and adoption.

• Drive digital transformation, automation roadmaps, and seamless AI integration across an innovative CPA firm.

• Conceptualize and create intuitive, user-centric wireframes and interaction designs for web and mobile interfaces.

• Automate core accounting and financial processes, empowering teams with actionable, data-driven insights..

Requirements:

Must-have

• Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript, with practical API, SQL and Git experience.

• Hands-on experience building LLM applications with tool calling and structured outputs.

• Experience in automated testing, debugging and verifying AI-generated code and results.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• A portfolio or examples of completed work, explaining your contribution and how the results were tested. Non-confidential case studies are welcome where code cannot be shared.

Academic qualifications are not required. Demonstrated ability and completed work matter more.

Preferred experience

• AI model fine-tuning, particularly hands-on fine-tuning of open-source or locally deployed models.

• AWS architecture and Amazon Bedrock architecture.

• Agent frameworks, MCP, RAG, OCR or AI evaluation tools.

• Accounting, fintech or financial-system integrations.
