AI Antibody De Novo Design Research
Posted Updated
Description
KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES
- Define and own the long-term technical and scientific strategy for AI-enabled antibody de novo design, aligning priorities with organizational goals and therapeutic pipelines.
- Lead antibody design platform that supports multi-modal models (sequence, structure, language models, diffusion/generative approaches) and seamless experimental integration.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performance team of algorithm scientists, computational biologists, software engineers, and data scientists.
- Partner closely with experimental biology and project teams to close the loop between in silico design and in vitro/in vivo results.
- Own external scientific engagement: represent the organization at conferences, lead collaborations with academic and industry partners, and drive publication and IP strategy.
- Ensure governance for sensitive datasets, ethical use of AI, and compliance with data sharing and IP policies.
Qualifications
- PhD in computational biology, Artificial Intelligence, computer science, or related field; exceptional candidates with MS plus extensive industry leadership experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in leadership roles driving AI protein/antibody de novo design.
- Deep technical expertise in modern ML approaches for proteins (large protein language models, transformers, diffusion/generative models, structure-aware architectures), and familiarity with tools such as AlphaFold, Rosetta, MD workflows.
- Practical understanding of antibody sequence/structure relationships, CDR engineering, developability assessment, immunogenicity prediction, and experimental validation workflows.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering research-to-product outcomes: deployed platforms, successful project translations, patents, and peer-reviewed publications is a plus.
