AI-Augmented Software Engineer

Summary

PQ is hiring an on-site (5 days/week, Malvern, PA) AI-augmented software engineer to build AI-powered and web applications across the full stack, including AI agents and workflow automations. Day to day involves Python/JavaScript development, integrating LLMs and APIs, and using AI tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building software, experimenting with new technology, and solving real business problems. The ideal candidate is curious, hands-on, and comfortable using AI as part of the development process. You do not need to be an AI expert, but you should be interested in learning how AI can be integrated into applications, workflows, and business processes.

What You Will Do

  • Develop AI-powered and web-based applications across the full stack
  • Build AI agents, workflow automations, and other intelligent solutions
  • Use AI-enabled development tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to accelerate software development
  • Integrate AI capabilities using APIs, LLMs, and agent frameworks
  • Work with business teams to understand problems and translate them into practical technology solutions
  • Prototype, test, and iterate quickly on real-world business use cases
  • Support application deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing enhancements

Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Python and JavaScript
  • Basic understanding of software development principles, APIs, databases, and application architecture
  • Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Node.js
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and generative AI technologies
  • Interest in AI-enabled software development, automation, and emerging technologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to manage time and priorities across multiple assignments
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Pursuing or recently completed a BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field

  • Participation in risk assessment audits as applicable
  • Understand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and procedures
