AI/Automation Engineer (LLM, RAG, Agentic Workflows)

We are looking for an AI/Automation Engineer to help us design and ship LLM-powered automation across internal tools and client-facing products. You will work directly with a German client's engineering team, building agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and process automation.
What you'll do:

  • Design, build and maintain LLM-based automation and agentic workflows
  • Build and optimize RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) pipelines
  • Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) into existing systems
  • Automate internal business processes (Zapier, Power Automate, n8n or similar)
  • Collaborate with backend/data teams on data pipelines feeding AI systems
  • Monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and reliability of AI-driven workflows

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 1 year working on LLM/AI-driven products
  • Practical experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks
  • Experience building RAG pipelines (vector databases, embeddings, chunking strategies)
  • Solid Python skills
  • Experience integrating with LLM provider APIs
  • English level C1, comfortable in daily communication with a German client

Nice to have:

  • Experience with agentic frameworks (AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph)
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Zapier, Power Automate, n8n)
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks
