AI & Automation Manager
Salary: RM 12,000 – RM 15,000 per month
Job Summary
=The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, quality and cost performance through practical technology solutions.
The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and measurable AI and automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute AI, automation and digitalization initiatives in alignment with the company's business objectives.
Identify and evaluate opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce operational costs, improve productivity and enhance process efficiency.
Lead the implementation of AI applications, generative AI tools, workflow automation, robotic process automation (RPA) and other relevant technologies.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, IT and other departments to identify business requirements and implement appropriate solutions.
Assess existing processes, conduct feasibility studies and prepare business cases, cost-benefit analyses and implementation plans for proposed projects.
Manage automation projects from planning and solution selection through implementation, testing, deployment and post-implementation review.
Explore relevant AI applications such as data analytics, predictive maintenance, computer vision and intelligent decision support, according to business needs.
Establish project KPIs and evaluate results, including productivity improvements, cost savings, error reduction and return on investment.
Coordinate with technology vendors, system integrators and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
Establish appropriate governance, documentation and procedures for AI usage, data security, access control and responsible AI implementation.
Drive change management, provide user training and promote the effective adoption of AI and automation across the organization.
Monitor emerging technologies and recommend practical solutions that support continuous improvement and long-term business competitiveness.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in AI implementation, automation, digitalization, IT solutions or process improvement. Candidates with stronger relevant experience will be considered for the managerial scope.
Demonstrated experience in implementing or managing AI, automation or digital transformation projects with measurable business outcomes.
Good understanding of AI technologies, including generative AI, machine learning, data analytics, intelligent automation or related applications.
Familiarity with relevant technologies such as Python, SQL, APIs, RPA platforms, workflow automation tools or industrial automation systems will be an advantage.
Experience in project management, business process analysis, vendor management and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical and cost-effective solutions.
Good communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and deliver results within agreed timelines and budgets.
Proactive, innovative and adaptable, with a strong interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an MNC, electronics manufacturing or a technology-driven organization.
Exposure to smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, MES, ERP integration, machine vision or predictive analytics.
Experience in leading projects involving multiple departments or external technology providers.
Relevant professional certifications in AI, automation, cloud technologies or project management.
